Abstract
Among the legends and folk tales of the world, mythical creatures - which were considered part of the daily facts and axioms among the ancient people; It has a very important and perhaps fundamental position, sometimes as a symbol of evil and sometimes as a helper of the hero or lover.

One of these creatures is the one that is generally called (Bakhtak) in Iranian society and is called Mir (Mare) in general and in English in particular. However, if we look at this legend with a comparative approach, some points worthy of attention will be revealed, especially for researchers of popular literature and comparative literature.

which can be used for comparative analysis of other legends of nations. The author has tried to give a comparative comparison of this legend by relying on sciences such as etymology and etymology, mythology and available sources in this field. It is hoped that the obtained results will pave the way for future studies, especially in the field of analysis of folk tales of the world.
