The historical study of languages and dialects requires the collection of sufficient evidence and its classification and presentation; this is, of course, preceded by scientific and historical analysis and conclusions. Among Iranian languages and dialects, Lori is one of the examples for which there are few ancient sources and we do not have much written evidence to identify it historically. Therefore, efforts to find reliable and written sources of Lori will help to understand the history more accurately and provide a more complete picture of the evolution of it. Based on this, this article aims to introduce one of the oldest and probably the oldest written documents in Lori at this time, which has been registered under the number 93/6679 in volume 14 of the list of manuscripts of Malek National Library and Museum, entitled "The Lori letter written by Mohammad Zaman Khan to Ahmad Khan Bakhtiari". In this article, some grammatical features and words used in the text are discussed. Some words and their etymology are also explained. The description and explanation of other words, especially the verbs of the text, as well as its poetic images and interpretations, require a separate study, which will be published separately later to avoid the lengthening of this text.
