The works of resistance literature can reflect how Iranian society resisted and persevered against foreign powers and oppressive governments. The Jungle Movement, led by Mirza Kuchak Khan, symbolizes Iranian resistance against tyranny and colonialism, foreshadowing the Iranian Islamic Revolution. A significant portion of the beliefs and ideas of the movement's leaders and activists were expressed through poetry in Persian and Gilaki in “the Jangal Newspaper” (the movement's official publication). This paper analyzes the content of poems in “the Jangal Newspaper”, as part of resistance literature, to identify its most prominent themes. Our findings show that patriotism and nationalism, calls for unity and solidarity, emphasis on Islamic identity, anti-foreign sentiment and criticism of international policies, criticism of domestic issues, calls for armed rebellion, and the defense of values like independence, freedom, and justice are key components of resistance literature reflected in the newspaper's poems.
